Terms of Use for Tap to Pay on iPhone and Android

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using the Tap to Pay service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using our service.

2. Service Description

The Tap to Pay service allows users to make payments using their iPhone or Android device through Stripe technology. This service facilitates the acceptance of contactless payments via Near Field Communication (NFC)

3. Eligibility

To use the Tap to Pay service, you must: • Be at least 18 years old. • Possess a valid and active Stripe account. • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations. • Use a compatible iPhone or Android device.

4. Account Registration

You must create an account with CODERS TEAM LIMITED and provide accurate and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

5. Fees and Charges

Using the Tap to Pay service may involve fees, including transaction fees imposed by Stripe. You agree to pay all applicable fees and charges associated with your use of the service. Fee structures will be communicated to you during the registration process or via our website

6. Security

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your information. However, you acknowledge that no data transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. You agree to take all necessary precautions to safeguard your account and payment information.

7. User Conduct

You agree not to use the Tap to Pay service for any unlawful or prohibited activities, including but not limited to: • Fraudulent or unauthorized transactions. • Violation of any applicable laws or regulations. • Interference with the operation of the service or Stripe technology

8. Technical Requirements

To use the Tap to Pay service, you must ensure that your device meets the following technical requirements: • For iPhone users, you must have an iPhone 6 or later running iOS 11 or higher. • For Android users, you must have a device running Android 5.0 (Lollipop) or higher with NFC capability. • The device must have a stable internet connection to process transactions. • You must download and install the latest version of the [CODERS TEAM LIMITED App/Stripe App] from the App Store or Google Play Store.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the Tap to Pay service at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms of Use or is harmful to our interests or another user.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CODERS TEAM LIMITED and Stripe shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the Tap to Pay service

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless CODERS TEAM LIMITED and Stripe from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorney’s fees and costs, arising out of or in any way connected with your use of the Tap to Pay service or your violation of these Terms of Use.

12. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting the updated terms on our website. Your continued use of the Tap to Pay service after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.

13. Governing Law

15 Account Verification

15.1 Verification Process

To comply with regulatory standards and ensure the security of our services, users may be required to complete an account verification process. This process may include providing valid identification and proof of address documents.

15.2 Accepted Documents

Acceptable forms of proof of address include, but are not limited to

Bank statements covering at least one full month with recent transactions
Council tax bills

Official government letters (e.g., from HMRC, DWP, NHS, or electoral register confirmations)

15.3 Document Requirements

All documents must be clear, unedited, and issued within the last six months. The information on the documents must match the details provided during account registration.

16 Fund Holding and Refund Policy

16.1 Fund Holding

In cases where account verification is pending or documents provided do not meet our verification standards, Y-POS reserves the right to hold the user's funds.

16.2 Holding Period

Funds may be held for up to 90 days or until a dispute is raised, whichever occurs first.

16.3 Refund Process

If the required verification is not completed within the 90-day holding period and no dispute has been raised, the held funds will be refunded to the original payer.

16.4 Dispute Resolution

If a dispute is raised during the holding period, the funds will remain on hold until the dispute is resolved in accordance with our dispute resolution procedures.

17 Account Suspension

17.1 Suspension Criteria

Failure to provide the required verification documents after three attempts may result in the suspension of the user's account.

17.2 Notification

Users will be notified of the suspension and provided with information on how to resolve the issue to reinstate their account.

18 User Responsibilities

18.1 Accurate Information

Users are responsible for providing accurate and up-to-date information during the registration and verification processes.

18.2 Timely Submission

Users must submit the required verification documents within the timeframes specified by Y-POS to avoid delays in account activation or fund disbursement.

Direct Debit Authorization

By agreeing to use the Direct Debit feature in the Y-POS application, you authorize Coders Team Limited to initiate debits from your provided bank account under the following terms: Sufficient Funds
You agree to ensure that sufficient funds are available in your bank account at the time of each scheduled debit. If your bank account balance is zero or insufficient, the transaction may fail, and you may incur fees from your bank. Coders Team Limited is not liable for any such fees.

Failed Transactions
In the event of a failed Direct Debit transaction due to insufficient funds:

You may be notified to resolve the issue and reattempt the payment. A resubmission of the payment request may occur within 1–2 business days unless otherwise agreed.

Overdrafts
If your bank account supports overdraft functionality, the payment may be completed despite a zero balance. Any overdraft fees or charges imposed by your bank are your responsibility.

Alternative Payment Methods
If Direct Debit fails, Coders Team Limited reserves the right to request an alternative payment method or temporarily suspend services until the outstanding amount is settled.

Notification
You will receive notifications at least 2 (two) business days in advance of a scheduled Direct Debit transaction, as required by applicable regulations.

Cancellation
You may cancel your Direct Debit authorization at any time by notifying your bank and Coders Team Limited. Written confirmation may be required.
